Funerals, white out contacts and nosebleeds, oh my! London-based soul/electronic trio Years & Years has released their artistically haunting new music video for their single “Foundation”. The group’s lead singer, Olly Alexander, croons out painfully truthful lyrics at his own funeral on a bed of contrasting roses surrounded by a morbid array of attendees bleeding from their noses and performing witch craft. Romantic, right? The 24-year-old actor and singer’s spine-tingling vocals crescendo similar to R&B artist The Weeknd as underlying string builds accentuate the roaring agony in his belting notes. This is definitely the most entertaining funeral we’ve attended.
Their new album Communion is set to be released July 10th via Polydor.
