Zedd scores first Billboard No. 1 with ‘True Colors’

The pop-laden “True Colors” has earned Zedd his first Billboard No. 1. According to Nielsen Music, the producer’s second studio album sold around 39,000 units during its first week. Buoyed by a much-heralded dance-pop crossover alongside Selena Gomez, “True Colors” brought along originals which featured Jon Bellion, Echosmith, Troye Sivan, Botnek, Logic, and the X Ambassadors. “Beautiful Now” also accomplished something new for the producer, as it climbed to the sixth spot on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. This broke the tie between Zedd, Calvin Harris, and David Guetta, setting a new record for Top 10s on the chart with seven.
