Above & Beyond have reconfigured “Counting Down The Days:” one of the many critically acclaimed cuts from their most recent studio album. After months of tweaking and extensive live testing, the club mix of the original is aimed strictly at electronic music’s largest venues. The new version is split into two different parts, with Gemma Hayes’ vocals providing the wedge in between. Before the trio’s signature breakdown, a gritty synth assault welcomes the mix to fruition. Switching gears soon after, a melodic outburst accentuates Gemma Hayes’ contribution and carries the retooled edit to the finish line.
