The Chainsmokers showcase their latest collaboration, ‘Waterbed’
The Chainsmokers have moved onward and upward since their 2014 satirical single “Selfie,” since releasing several originals and remixes that showcase their true sound. Their latest comes as a collaboration with LA band Waterbed for a track aptly titled “Waterbed.”
What started as an online musical-courtship turned into a track that The Chainsmokers consider “a cool blend of twerk music, meets indie.” Indeed, “Waterbed” is melodic union of indie and dance sounds that are shaped by intricate layers of lush chords and harmonic vocals that command, “make your ass shake it like a waterbed.” The bubbly track concludes on a high note with an ending that fades out “like those M83 songs you wish dropped after those huge builds.”
