Decibel Festival reveals packed lineup for 2015 edition
Kicking off as the summer festival circuit will begin to slow its roll, late September’s Decibel Festival is back for its 2015 installment, boasting an intriguing lineup stocked with talent. Rather than slapping names onto a bill and plastering massive rigs with lights, Decibel is less about spectacle and more about exhibition. The festival aims to curate a sophisticated experience, showcasing live talent and cutting-edge technology, backed by an atypical lineup littered with heavy hitters. Among the close to 90 acts featured on this years lineup, Dirtybirds J.Phlip and Christian Martin are scheduled to perform, along with everyone’s favorite forward-thinker Mr. Carmack, Djemba Djemba, DJ Tennis, Bonobo, and Thievery Corporation.
Pairing veterans with bright up-and-comers, bass music newcomer AWE and Julio Bashmore both find listings on the lineup with so many in between occupying the lengthy September 23rd-27th roster. From Bob Moses, Dan Deacon, and Shiba San to STWO, John Tejada, and Alan Fitzpatrick, Seattle’s mainstay music event is gearing up to represent a different side of dance music.
