DA Premiere: Dusky – Parakeet Feet (Original Mix)
Before Dusky were Dusky — the formidable UK duo pushing authentic, groove-driven house music — they were making progressive, melody-based creations under the guise of Solarity. Their newest original, “Parakeet Feet,” channels some of this early energy through its overtly melodic approach. While a bit more ethereal than their recent output, the ‘Dusky touch’ is well intact. As typical of their productions, special attention is given to the layering of drum and percussive elements, resulting in a fluid, seven minute creation that charges forward with ease.
“Parakeet Feet” finds it home as the third single on Dusky’s new Ordinary World EP out on July 31 on their own 17 Steps imprint.
