Flume says his album has ‘a few things missing… but it’s so close’
Three years after the release of his first album, Flume listeners couldn’t be any more anxious for the next one to drop. Teased for almost a year now, the Aussie prodigy has played only little bits and pieces of his new work in his live sets. On Tuesday, however, a short interview Flume had with NME sparked an inkling of hope.
“I just feel like there’s a few things missing… but it’s so close,” Flume said of his impending album. A proverbial light at the end of the tunnel? One can only hope. Flume also mentioned several other features of his new album, discussing its wider sonic range and explaining the energy levels of its tracks. Among the things listed, he hastily added that he collaborated with “unknown dudes and really well-known dudes,” causing us all to wonder who the “well-known dudes” might be and where on the track list they would appear.
