Eton Messy Record’s repertoire of outright club weapons and chilled-out moments has long been a balance that separates the label from the herd in a truly positive way. For his debut stint for the label, London-based prospect Flaurese Leis dons his hand to John Bull & The Bandit’s latest with the latter dimension close to heart. His smooth grooves and stripped-back melodic swells play off the original’s topline, giving “Going Under Cover” a welcome second wind as a docile house cut fit for the summer months and early-hours club play alike. With his debut EP supposedly on the cards for 2015, Flaurese Leis is an artist we anticipate great things from over the coming months.
