Major Lazer claims top spot on Dance/Electronic Album chart
From successfully launcing a cartoon series that even Cheech and Chong would appreciate, to linking up with DJ Snake and MØ for “Lean On” — which continues to prove to be one of the biggest hits of the year so far, holding down the number two slot on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart — Major Lazer have had quite the year so far.
Their latest feat comes in the form of a number one spot on Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic Album chart this week. Peace Is The Mission follows 2013’s Get Free, taking the top of the charts as it swaps spots with Jamie XX’s In Colour.
Walshy Fire, Jillionaire, and Diplo have even already announced a follow up record, Music Is The Weapon, due later this year, suggesting a second number one could very well be around the corner.
Between “Lean On,” his co-written hit “Bitch I’m Madonna,” and Jack Ü‘s inescapable “Where Are Ü Now,” Diplo is once again everywhere.
