Nightriders release remix compilation featuring house legends and rising talent

Those who couldn’t get enough of Nightriders’ February EP Until We Are Together are in for a treat. The Boston-based duo has just released a five-track remix compilation that includes versions by Grammy award-winning artist Ralphi Rosario, Tiki Disco founder Eli Escobar, rising talent Jamie de Von, nu-disco pioneer Alcala, and Get Up! Recordings label co-founder W. Jeremy. The remixes draw inspiration from a range of musical influences, including old school Chicago house and raw Detroit techno.

The clean and chic sophistication of Ralphi Rosario’s Deepa mix conjures images of runway shows and days spent lounging poolside.

Jamie de Von, on the other hand, places the focus on the bass line and the vocals for his groovy, high-stepping version.

W. Jeremy takes us back to the glory days of old Chicago house with his percussion-heavy 1991 Warehouse mix.

For his remix, Eli Escobar chops up the vocals and inserts a waves of gritty funk, creating a tense and frenetic contrast with stabbing piano chords and shuffling percussion.

Finally, nu-disco mainstay Alcala gives the tune a new deep house makeover, keeping only snippets of the vocals and cushioning them with a dark, bouncing bass lines.
