You’d struggle to find a hotter inauguration to the commercial dance world than that of Philip George‘s recent overhaul. Having recently hit platinum status with his 3Beat debut ‘Wish You Were Mine,’ the UK newcomer entered the summer with an impressive run of European festival collateral. All that was missing was the soundtrack.
Where ‘Wish You Were Mine’ channeled the timeless soul of Stevie Wonder, ‘Alone No More’ nostalgically leans towards the prime of 90s R&B with a modern club twist. Aimed shamelessly at the airwaves whilst maintaining subtle dance floor durability, the track’s solid vocal assets pair with a fluid and instrumentally refined backdrop to bring George’s all-encompassing sound to a new peak in quality.
