Robin Schulz unveils ‘Sugar’ ahead of his fall LP release
Robin Schulz‘s unprecedented success following the releases of “Prayer in C” and his remix of “Waves” has paved a promising path for the German tastemaker. One year after unveiling his 2014 debut Prayer EP, Schulz is gearing up for his second album, Sugar, to be released on September 18th.
Most admired as a deep house maestro, the title track arrives in true Robin Schulz fashion: airy guitar strums and delicate shakers enveloped in a velvety top line, courtesy of 19-year-old Canadian vocalist Francesco Yates. “Sugar,” reminiscent of Baby Bash and Frankie J’s “Suga Suga,” plays on the 2003 hit while incorporating fresh lyrics and an electronic twist – making for a sleek rendition of one of the defining tracks of the early 2000’s.
