Los Angeles-based duo Hotel Garuda, aka Manila Killa and Candle Weather, bring their signature deep house stylings to their contribution to Royal’s remix bundle of “Passenger.” The track opens with mellow chords gradually building beneath smooth vocals, then cascading into an infectious tropical breakdown. This sun-kissed rework of the original showcases classic Hotel Garuda touches- slinky synths and a melodic bassline that make this just as welcome a soundtrack for summer nights as it is for pool parties.
