“This is the track I’ve always wanted to make,” said Simon Patterson about “Apex,” which will be released on July 27 through Perfecto Fluoro. Premiered on last Thursday’s A State Of Trance (ASOT), a four minute clip of the song revealed the amount of dedication and hard work put into composing this track. Going back to his roots, Patterson created a massive tech-trance tune with a dark synths driving the melody and a tense breakdown. The background is rife with samples, adding an eclectic touch to an otherwise traditional tech-trance production. Given the amount of excitement already surrounding  the impending release of “Apex,” it’s already set to become one of the hottest trance tracks of the season.
