This alleged HARD Day of the Dead lineup features Deadmau5, Nero, Skrillex, and ZHU: GENESYS Project
Despite backlash from Los Angeles council members after 2 teenage girls passed away at HARD Summer, the West Coast festival brand is set to return in October with their Halloween-themed haunt, Day of the Dead. A print out has begun circulating this weekend with the proposed lineup of HARD’s DOTD festival fully mapped out across both days. The alleged artists booked thus far are quite an impressive bunch, headlined by the likes of Deadmau5, Nero, Skrillex, and ZHU.
The alleged leak is below, and like most HARD events, it’s stacked with cutting edge artists. Scanning the document reveals the likes of CVS (Carmack + Salva), JETS – Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum Live, Canadian duo Bob Moses, and Claude Von Stroke & Green Velvet’s ‘Get Real.’ There’s even Amon Tobin on the list. Most interestingly, hidden in the Sunday programming, is something called ZHU’s GENESYS Project. It’s the first time anyone has seen a mention of the “Faded” producer’s next move since his BBC 1 After Hours mix that included a handful of unreleased originals.
Still, take it with a grain of salt; this is just some interesting speculation.
