Arctic Moon and Apple One’s newest collaboration through Future Sound of Egypt (FSOE) took a more progressive approach than usual to vocal trance. Sticking closer to the sonic mold usually heard on the label, however, is Bjorn Akesson, whose remix was released alongside the original. The uplifting star applied his signature treatment to “Who We Are,” dressing Diana Leah’s warm, expressive vocals with echo-y synths and an atmospheric lead. Beautiful harmonies open up the soul, triggering a sense of calmness and inner happiness that carries you through the song’s well-constructed stages.
