With their tenth anniversary celebrations looming, the label re-invites CamelPhat to its table to continue their sparing departure from the festival proof sound waves of modern dance music.
Taking a far more gentle approach than the duo’s radio-raking inaugural offering, ‘Siren Song’ opts for serene vocal vibes over its predecessors R&B flare. Where Eden’s soft vocal work still hits an infectious peak, the track itself glides with the grace of an early-hours summer hit, placing Axtone back in unfamiliar yet coherent musical territory once again. This one feels more like a commercial realisation than a radio-friendly cop out, serving CamelPhat a marker release away from their recently found home at Spinnin Deep that is sure to hold its corner on the European front.
