DJ Evian Christ mistakenly caged up at Leeds Festival
Festivals can be quite messy sometimes; with such large crowds to control and people trying to evade ticket prices by sneaking in, a lot can happen.
Unfortunately, the British DJ Evian Christ fell victim to this kind of mix-up this past weekend at the famous Leeds festival. Yesterday evening, the artist, who’s known for his collaborations with Kanye West, sent out a tweet to his 12k+ followers: “reading fest cancelled (sorry) cuz leeds put me in a cage #freeevian”
It turns out that following his set, security thought Christ was lying about his identity and trying to sneak into the venue, so they took what action they thought best and locked him up in a cage-like holding cell. Recognizing the slight hilarity of his predicament, he shared his plight even further by posting a video for his fans of the cage.
Though his Tweet read that he was cancelling his appearance at Reading festival, which runs simultaneously with Leeds, there has been no official word from his team as of late.
