ZHU denies HARD DOTD appearance, remains quiet on GENESYS Project
This past weekend an enticing but still unconfirmed leak of the HARD Day of the Dead festival line up began making the rounds. Though a number of artists on the suggested line up are buzzworthy, perhaps one of the most interesting points was ZHU’s unexplained Genesys Project. ZHU made his first North American debut at HARD’s Day of the Dead show last year, making the possibility of him debuting a new project on his anniversary with the festival all the more likely. Since then his popularity has skyrocketed, despite his purposefully quiet and anonymous approach to his persona as a producer, and as expected, he has made no mention of the Genesys Project.
We reached out to ZHU’s team about both the project as well as its debut at HARD Day of the Dead Festival.
“HARD Presents has been a valued partner of ZHU’s, especially in ZHU’s North American debut last year. ZHU however will not be appearing at HARD’s Day of the Dead festival. He will be at this year’s CRSSD Festival in San Diego.”
With the denial of the festival appearance but no mention regarding the GENESYS Project, it isn’t too wild to assume that something new from ZHU is well underway.
