Flume brings Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow to FYF to perform ‘Some Minds’

Although this year’s FYF Fest started out with the unforeseen swap of Frank Ocean with Kanye West for the Saturday headlining slot, the Los Angeles festival was smooth sailing once the gates opened. Dance music saw itself holding a modest, but strong presence with names like Kaytranada, Toro & Moi, Dixon, Nicolas Jaar, Goldroom, and Flume playing across the two days. Since 2015 has proven to be the year of festival guest appearances, Flume decided to not just one, but three featured vocalists from his hits.

Fellow Australian nationals Lorde and Marcus of Collarbones made surprises appearances during the live renditions of their respective remixes from the Australian beatsmith, and Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt also joined Flume on stage for their cinematic original, “Some Minds.” Captured in full by a FYF crowd member, Flume energetically bounces around behind his Infinity Prism while Wyatt stands front and center to belt his pungent croons across the crowd. Aptly accompanied by tripped-out visuals, the pair’s performance definitely saw itself as a highlight for any who attended the event.
