A summer spent touting his credentials as a solo act around the world, Lee Foss’ streak was interrupted by a brief tease of the return of Hot Natured. “Off World Lover” marked Jamie Jones, Ali Love, Luca Cazal, and Lee Foss’ first original in eighteen months after their debut album received critical acclaim when it was released in 2013. Now the member of Hot Natured once again strays away from his high-powered friends and lands on the feline-loving, Spanish label Suara Music. The focal point of his new interpretation of Volkoder’s “Different Beat” is the precise percussion that reigns supreme over the five-minute long track. Meanwhile, sliced vocals dance on a topline and result in a release that has already seen support from the genre’s heaviest of hitters.
