A$AP Rocky reveals details of concept album with Danger Mouse
In an interview with Pharrell Williams on his OTHERTone Beats 1 show, A$AP Rocky revealed that he is working with producer Danger Mouse, who previously made up one half of Gnarls Barkley with Cee-Lo Green.
The two had previously worked together on Rocky’s last album At. Long. Last. A$AP, and the rapper confirms that their forthcoming concept album has no lyrics.
“Danger Mouse is ill. People don’t appreciate that kind of shit. There’s no lyrics out there. What’s important about this, he told me, ‘yo dude, you bring out a side in me that I need’. And I feel he brings out a side in me. We got records. I can’t wait to let you hear them.” A$AP Rocky told Pharrell.
Williams jumped in to propose that he not be left out of the album’s completion, with Rocky replying “I got you.”
