Armin van Buuren announces sixth album, ‘Embrace’
Two years after the release of Intense and the accompanying “Armin Only” world tour whose production awed international trance fans, Armin van Buuren is already back again with the announcement of his sixth album, EMBRACE. To be released on October 29 right in time for Halloween, the “king” of trance describes the upcoming LP as a culmination of multiple different musical styles and instrumentation. “The idea was to ‘EMBRACE’ several different instruments and sounds, and incorporate them into my sound,” the Dutch producer said. “I hope my fans will ‘EMBRACE’ this new chapter in my life.”
So far, it appears so. Van Buuren’s experimentation with pop music led to his single “This Is What It Feels Like” with Trevor Gunthrie being nominated for a Grammy, while the first track off the album with Mr. Probz called “Another You” has already amassed five million YouTube views. Foreshadowing somewhat of a departure from what we typically hear from him, Armin has piqued our curiosity as to what other styles of music we’ll be hearing upon EMBRACE’s release.
