Bay Area native Tycho has been around the block more than a few times; his mellow, guitar-infused electronica creations have landed him in multiple headlining spots at festivals, and his breathtaking sunrise set from Burning Man is gaining acclaim all over social media. The producer was recruited to remix Death Cab for Cutie’s “The Ghosts Of Beverly Drive.” As alternative and electronic fusions are his forte, Tycho delivered a gorgeous re-work, slowing down the tempo and adding an ethereal echo effect to the original’s guitar riffs. Opting to keep the alternative rock aspect of “The Ghosts Of Beverly Drive” at the end, Tycho proves once again his ability at re-working a track just enough to be his own while keeping it appealing to the staunchest of fans who are less accustomed to electronic music.
