Notorious for their delightful mashups of raunchier hip-hop and eclectic electronic music, The Hood Internet have returned with “Classic Lean.” Showing ambition in fusing together Kendrick Lamar and Major Lazer (with DJ Snake), both of which are some of rap and electronic music’s most notable names, the Chicagoan duo have proven their abilities yet again in fitting filthy rap verses into massive EDM hits. The result is so well-executed that upon the first listen, one might think that the original version of “Lean On” may have very well featured Lamar on it. “Classic Lean” is a shining example of what will be played on the pair’s tour, which is currently taking place in multiple cities of the U.S.
