Kanye West is sampling these house classics on his next single — listen to ‘Fade’ now
Kanye West made an all-out spectacle out of New York Fashion Week with his showcasing of Yeezy Season 2. As the audience — which included the Kardashian clan, Drake, 2 Chainz, A-Trak, Pusha T, and just about everybody else — West unveiled his sophomore fashion line.
Like he did with Season 1, Kanye managed to involve new music. Where his previous show made for a backdrop to debut the Sia and Vic Mensa-assisted “Wolves” that the world is still waiting for, this month’s affair closed with ringing house classics.
The single is rumored to be entitled “Faded” and should feature Ty Dolla $ign. Off the bat and throughout the duration of the version heard — disclaimer: live, just once, in a rare setting — samples Hardrives classic “Deep Inside.” In fact, judging by first listen, the legendary house record will serve as basis to West’s new single — similar to how Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster” was worked into 2007’s “Stronger.”
Also sampled is Mr. Fingers’s “Mystery of Love.”
