Maceo Plex reveals new techno bomb for Kompakt, ‘Mirror Me’
Eric Estornel is currently experiencing his moment in the sun, and rightfully so. The Barcelona-based producer has been working tirelessly over the years to build his Maceo Plex identity, enthralling the underground with his flawless studio creations and entrancing DJ sets in the process. Now he’s gearing up for the release of his second studio album under the namesake: Solar.
In the meantime, however, Maceo Plex has revealed a forthcoming release on legendary German label, Kompakt Records. New track “Mirror Me” is one of Estornel’s darker productions to date, highlighted by its ravey vocal topline from C.A.R. It’s a stark contrast to his recent “Solar Sampler,” which showcased a lighter, more sentimental side to his work, but a satisfying reminder as to the more sinister side of his studio output.
