Oliver Heldens & Da Hool – MHATLP (HI-LO Edit)
It’s not uncommon for a producer to remix themselves to give their fans one track with two personalities, but it is quite rare for an artist to do so via their own alias. Just a few days ago, we reported about a new edit from Oliver Heldens’ renewal of Da Hool’s classic, “Meet Her At The Love Parade,” via his bass house handle HI-LO, which a rip surfaced onto YouTube just days before. With the cat already out of the bag, the Dutch wobble master finally unearths the track on SoundCloud.
Similar to how he approached his restoration of Wildchild with “Renegade Mastah,” Heldens uses the ’90s dance hit as a blueprint to incorporate his love for sinuous bass trembles and a spry four-on-the-floor beat as he continues to craft the artistic portrait of HI-LO. Built with the late-night in mind, this edit is another worthy output from one of dance music’s most ambitious stars.
