A second Trance Nation will be released this October [Free Album Giveaway]

Trance Nation has become synonymous with trance the way NOW is with pop. Since the first edition mixed by Ferry Corsten (under his System F alias) debuted through Ministry of Sound in 1999, the annual compilations have become a major influence over and reflection of what people listen to with respect to the genre.

Earlier this year, Simon Patterson provided his mixing abilities on the most recent Trance Nation. However, 2015 has proven to be a special year for trance. Among classics set revivals, a sold-out Luminosity festival, and a growing fan base of more traditional sound imprints comes Ministry of Sound’s announcement that a second Trance Nation will be released on October 2nd.

This is momentous news; for the first time in a decade fans will be graced with two carefully curated playlists filled with monumental trance tunes. Even more exciting is who was chosen to put together October’s playlist: the “Unicorn Slayer” himself, Markus Schulz.

Showcasing new and established talent from his immensely popular Coldharbour label including Judge Jules, Rank1, and Chicane, Schulz’ two-disc compilation features 36 tracks, 15 of which are album exclusives. Starting off on the deeper side we’ll get to hear “Un-Theme,” a lush progressive piece from Gai Barone which will also be given away for free upon pre-ordering the disc set. Other notable cuts include Danilo Ercole’s deep, tantalizing production “Format,” Tenishia’s emotional smasher “Don’t Let Go” with Adina Butar, and Purple Stories’ atmospheric take on Elevation and Grube & Hovespian’s “City Of Angels.”

You can pre-order the album here, but also put yourself in the running to win this edition of Trance Nation for free! Three winners will be drawn at random on release date.
