Axwell Λ Ingrosso pledge to help refugee children with forthcoming single ‘This Time’
There is new noise on the horizon from legendary Swedish House Mafia cohorts Axwell Ingrosso. Ahead of the duo’s sold-out stint at Amsterdam’s Heneiken Music Hall this weekend, the duo took to the internet today to announce next single ‘This Time,’ using the hashtag #THISTIME and a dedicated website to commit that all net profits from the forthcoming single will go to UN refugee charity UNHCR.
True to the duo’s disruptive nature, the Swedish tag team used Amsterdam Dance Event to spearhead the announcement, filling the streets of Amsterdam with a pop-up instalment of branded crows singing the forthcoming single in bird song. Though no formal release date has been given for the follow-up to ‘Sun is Shining,’ the modest teaser spotlights another high octane cut from Axwell Λ Ingrosso paired with the fierce vocals of Pusha T, which appears to be aiming at an imminent Spotify release.
A statement from Axwell and Ingrosso explained: ‘We want to recognize the fact that so many innocent children across the globe are refused the basic right to go home in a time of chaos and commotion.’
The announcement drops after the recent news of their parting with long time manager Amy Thompson, who also saw the duo through their time as 2/3 of Swedish House Mafia. Adding a second Pusha T featured singled to their belts and ramping up the attention to a worthy cause, the road to Axwell and Ingrosso’s long awaited debut album has been turned up a significant notch.
