CHINAH – Away From Me (Gramercy Remix)
Gramercy is a new name that has wasted little time standing out. Reigning from Canada, his inaugural remix for Danish trio CHINAH already set the tone for his emotively tuned house etiquette, garnering an early doors seal of approval from Pete Tong on the BBC Radio One airwaves along the way.
His take on ‘Away From Me’ ups the melodic stamina and gives the typical blog fodder sound a touch of charisma. With enough groove to hold the dance floor and enough interesting composure to reign as a stand alone track in its own right, it’s no very often that a remix from a relative no-name hits the nail on the head quite like this. Gramercy is off to a promising start of this first remix offering is to be believed, setting in motion what we hope to be an industry wide move towards intuitive house music with genuine soul.
