DA Premiere: Pegboard Nerds debut ‘Emoji’ ahead of Pink Cloud EP
With a flood of releases this month for the Pink Cloud EP, the Pegboard Nerds continue their torrid production streak with a fan favorite record, “Emoji.” Previously only played in live sets, this song eluded the grasp of the self-proclaimed #NerdNation for almost a year. Fans had been speculating about the release date until one of the duo announced that they had no plans to release it.
As they wrote the Pink Cloud EP, the producers felt that this record was fitting for the collection. The tuned vocals give ‘Emoji’ the artists’ trademark sound, but change of tempo differentiates it from the previous two EP singes ‘Pink Cloud’ and the HypeM favorite ‘Just Like That.’ The Pegboard Nerds’ releases have been well-received by fans, who have also generously donated ~$15,000 during the first two weeks of the Pink Cloud campaign towards the cancer charity FUCK CANCER.
The Pink Cloud EP will be released October 23rd and the Nerds have will be donating proceeds from music and merchandise sales to Fuck Cancer’s breast cancer support initiatives. To make a difference, head over to the Pegboard Nerds’ website to enjoy music and contribute to fight the disease that has affected countless millions.
The duo wanted to send the following message to fans, “Nerd Nation, we appreciate your support during this campaign. We still have a long way to go. We’ve been waiting a while to share Emoji with you guys. This is one of our favorites!”
