Eekkoo continues his techno streak with ‘The Killing’

Eekkoo has gone full techno, and we’re not complaining. The former mau5trap artist has embraced the style with open arms, churning out raw, Detroit-inspired originals and a compelling Techno Is Not What It Seems mix series. The Canadian’s latest is “The Killing:” a warehouse-savvy concoction with synthesized percussion and a warped vocal topline. It’s an apt followup to his last single, “Warren Avenue,” which similarly channeled an old school, dub techno vibe with a modern flair. We’re not entirely what Eekkoo’s larger plan here is, but we’re loving the direction.
