Giorgio Moroder Feat. Britney Spears – Tom’s Diner (Leu Leu Land Remix)
Giorgio Moroder packed some serious featured artists onto his returning Deja Vu LP, but the remixes that have followed have similarly sourced high calibre talent from across the global dance sphere. Cue mysterious Swedish newcomers Leu Leu Land, whose first formal release lands in the form of a rendition of the Britney-accompanied take on ‘Tom’s Diner‘ for Sony Music this month. The all-star electro pop single gets a tropically charged makeover with smooth commercial house finesse, latching onto the original’s infectious chorus line with a sharp array of keys and summer-inspired lead work. There’s a lot of naff tropical house doing the rounds right now, but Leu Leu Land’s energised take on the sound is a promising sign of life from a duo letting the music do all the talking for their initial run at the spotlight.
