Pioneer DJ launches its most compact player yet: XDJ-700
Pioneer DJ is expanding its USB-only line of professional mixing gear.
Following the XDJ-1000 — the LCD touch screen and rekordbox-ready digital player announced last November — Pioneer has launched a more affordable, compact version of the player with the XDJ-700. The new XDJ comes equipped with the modernized features of the XDJ-1000 and CDJ-2000nexus line, including phase meters, slip mode, Pro DJ link, a large LCD display and more, albeit in a much smaller build. From the images so far, the biggest compromise looks to be the size of the jog wheels.
Perhaps most compelling about the new controller is its price. While Pioneer’s line of professional players is notoriously expensive, the XDJ-700 will hit market in December for $699.
