Rustie shares new music made in his hospital bed
Artists of all types can benefit from a change of scenery and its effect on their oeuvre. But for Scottish producer Rustie, who was hospitalized for his diabetes, relocation wasn’t a choice. Nevertheless, he has remarkably managed to turn a grave situation into something positive from his hospital bed.
Luckily, Rustie seems to be in a stable condition after waking up in the emergency room: “I needa stop going so hard, diabetes is a sneaky bitch,” the artist shared in a caption on his Instagram. Not long after checking in to the ER, he was inspired to produce a record straight from his hospital bed, wittily titled “160 Hospital Riddim.” The track was released with a positive reflection on the whole scenario as he wrote on Soundcloud, “quick beat i made after waking up in hospital! glad to be alive so u can all have it for free.” Get well soon Rustie, not many artists can claim the same dedication in getting new music to fans.
