Welsh producer and veteran DJ Sasha announced that he will be taking a break from performing to focus on his family and new music. The statement, posted on Facebook, comes after a summer of non-stop touring around the world. Sasha’s career in music began more than two decades ago, first garnering an international reputation through collaborations with John Digweed in the 1990s.

He’s helped to direct the trajectory of electronic music ever since, through his own music and as head of the imprint Last Night On Earth. In his well-deserved downtime, Sasha plans to finish half-completed projects and demos.Though he’ll be off the road, the artist will not become reclusive- Sasha will continue releasing his acclaimed podcasts and stay in touch with fans through social updates.

“After a great summer and a manic stretch of touring the world without a break I’m taking some time off the road. I need some time to spend with my family and to work in the studio. I have so many demos and half finished tracks on my laptop that I am itching to finish. I have a couple of big projects lined up for next year that need my undivided attention. I will stay in touch with regular social updates and of course continue my podcast. Look out for some vintage mixes from recent years and snippets from the studio sessions. Keep your ears open and see you on the dance floor in December
