Seth Troxler to team up with ADE to serve food to the homeless

Among a long list of industry heavyweights descending on Amsterdam for this month’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Detroit’s Seth Troxler has more than DJing on his mind. Together with 10,000 hours, the American DJ and one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals will team up to feed the homeless on October 14th alongside Paul Oakenfold and Dave Clark. Continuing to assist the homeless after helping a friend in Sydney, the three-course lunch for 75 people will take place in one of the walk-in shelters of De Regenboog Groep.

“I think people involved in dance music are generally people who are a bit more empathetic. Maybe this comes from dancing or just because of that unity feeling on the dance floor. Because on the dance floor different people and different cultures open up about their lives and open their minds about how they can be as people. So utilizing this movement as in music to also be a social movement is pretty profound,” Troxler said.

Two days before Seth Troxler headlines the DJ-Kicks launch party on October 16th and then brings Circoloco to Amsterdam alongside Art Department, Nicole Moudaber, and Damian Lazarus among others, the American DJ’s most important contribution to the festival certainly won’t come in the form of a marathon, after-hours set.
