New York-based The Golden Pony have established themselves as remix maestros. Whether tackling Simon & Garfunkel or The Chainsmokers, the Brooklyn duo never fail to re-work classics into deep house grooves. Returning to the rap remix game about a year after their “Forgot About Dre” touch up, their newest target is Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Cheery whistles and a bouncing bassline give the remix a lighthearted edge – a stark contrast to what Snoop sings about, but a surprisingly delightful combination.
