Taylor Swift enlists R3hab for a remix of ‘Wildest Dreams’
After receiving an unofficial cover from Kygo, Taylor Swift was bound to make her own dance music debut soon and it seems her shining moment has finally arrived.
Her latest single “Wildest Dreams” has received a remix treatment, this time, from R3hab. Though much of the track remains the same signature pop that Taylor has championed, the breezy hit’s chorus lines find a new danceable revival thanks to a progressive breakdown, courtesy of the Dutch DJ. Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift’s first dip into the dance music realm remains a safe jump; the electronic influence is commercially lighthearted.
R3hab recently teamed with Calvin Harris for a remix of “How Deep Is Your Love,” a short few degrees of separation from the pop icon. There’s no denying that the “Wildest Dreams” match up is an odd and unexpected pairing, but perhaps it’s just the first of what’s to come for Taylor in the genre.
