Adele’s ’25’ is now available for download, could beat *NSYNC’s first-week sales record
After breaking nearly every conceivable music industry record with her comeback single “Hello,” UK songbird Adele solidified her dominion over the music world today with the release of her third studio album titled 25. The 11-track masterpiece sees the diamond-selling superstar return to her signature emotionally charged ballads like “When We Were Young,” “Remedy” and “All I Ask,” and balanced by fiery uptempo anthems such as “Water Under The Bridge” and “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).”
According to Billboard, the highly-anticipated album is projected to ship around 2.5 million units (CD copies, digital sales and pre-orders combined) in its first week alone, besting current title-holder NSYNC’s first-week sales of 2.415 million for No Strings Attached back in March 2000. Adele’s camp said yesterday that the album will not be available on any streaming services.
25‘s lead single, “Hello,” is fast approaching the 3 million sales mark. Adele’s last album, 21, sold over 30 million copies worldwide. 25 is available for download here.
