Kerri Chandler’s MadTech imprint are ending 2015 with a fistful of finely tuned underground talent. Just over the hill from an essential instalment from Alexis Raphael, recently emerging UK talent Apollo 84 joins the label with a minimalistic take on proceedings among its latest celebration of fresh house work. An unassuming yet lingering club offering, the gritty and percussively charged ‘Snookies’ is a deviously stripped back weapon from the label. As MadTech continues to embody everything exciting and off-the-beaten track in international dance music, Apollo 84’s latest suggests that there is still gold to be found among the industry’s lesser known players.
