In just six months, M-22 have had numerous corners of the industry intrigued by their striking studio output. Back-to-back remixes for Axwell/\Ingrosso and Salvatore Ganacci saw the European duo make a serious dent among the big room’s heavy hitters, but a notable first for Be Yourself’s Dirty Soul imprint shakes things up with a striking vocal remix job from the promising pair.
Caroline Koch’s topline gives the duo some promising room to flex their clean and melodically charged house muscles, using elegant string work and subtle bass movements to muster a noticeably sophisticated stand on the sound. What’s most reassuring is to hear M-22 step away from the big name remixes and still knock the ball out of the park. 2015 is by no means done for these fresh faced newcomers, but M-22 already sounds like a name to be keeping tabs on as 2016 crawls closer.
