Classixx enlist T-Pain for new collaboration, ‘Whatever I Want’
LA production team Classixx continually lead the modern nu-disco genre, but step out of their comfort zone for their new single, bringing T-Pain and the West LA Children’s Choir along for the ride. “Whatever I Want” is an uplifting track that harmonizes ethereal keys with auto-tuned vocals, resulting in a jovial, gorgeous melody.
The collaboration, which premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, comes with a quaint backstory, highlighting a personal high for the duo, who have been fans of T-Pain for quite some time after hearing the instrumental of his track, “Can’t Believe It.”
“We’re still reeling from the fact that this song came together, it was really fun to make it,” remarked Classixx.
