Fresh off Desert Hearts’ 3-year anniversary festival, which provided 100 hours of nonstop house and techno, crew leader Mikey Lion has linked up with Sabo for a collaborative EP entitled Into The Jungle. The lead single, which Dancing Astronaut is premiering below, harbors the kind of compelling dancefloor mysticism that has come to define the Desert Hearts experience.

The track is an immersive affair, slowly building on itself with new layers of atmospheric complexity across its 8-minute span. Aside from receiving its share of play at Desert Hearts’ festival last weekend, the single has already received support from Justin Martin, Tim Green, Doc Martin, Pirupa, Patrice Baumel and more.

Mikey Lion had this to say about the new EP:

“Into The Jungle is the first collaboration EP between Sabo and I. We’ve both always had a thing for droppin’ tribalistic drum grooves, but it wasn’t until we bonded over a mutual love for skateboarding did we decide to hop in the studio together. We had an amazing time working on it and the outcome was great. We ended up getting two insanely killer remixes from Joyce Muniz and Lonely Boy to round out the package. Dance floor vibes for days on every track.”
