Daft Punk documentary set to air in the US in December

One of the most elusive duos in electronic music will be featured in a documentary set to premiere on Showtime on December 10, 9 pm EST. Daft Punk Unchained, directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, follows the robots Thomas and Guy-Man from the 1990s to 2015.

The documentary tracks the evolution of the group (and its attempts at anonymity) in the 1990s, the unbridled frenzy surrounding Daft Punk’s 2007 tour, their most recent album Random Access Memories, and their celebrated 2014 Grammys performance. Daft Punk Unchained includes appearances from Kanye West, Pharrell WIlliams, Giorgio Mororder, Pete Tong, Nile Rodgers, Todd Edwards, and Michel Gondry.

The documentary is the closest thing to new material from the ‘bots that will be coming in 2015, so check out the premiere on Showtime. In the meantime, Daft Punk has been upping their merch offerings- check it out on their new website.
