Facebook uncovers new music feature that integrates Spotify and Apple Music song clips into your news feed

Facebook’s latest installment arrives in the form of a shiny new music feature: Music Stories. The new post format, which is only accessible via Facebook’s iOS app, will allow you to share 30-second clips of songs straight from Apple Music, Spotify, and iTunes.

As such, your Facebook friends will not only be able to see what song or album is on your mind at the current moment, but stream a 30-second preview of said track through Facebook’s new audio player. Better yet: you don’t have to leave the app, nor are you required to be a subscriber of Spotify or Apple Music in order to hear clips.

To enhance fans’ music discovery experience, Facebook’s 360-degree music functionality will also permit users to learn more about the song or buy it directly from its respective source.
