Among the wealth of Dutch talents desperately leaping onto the commercial house bandwaggon, Dutch duo The Him have been a mark of quality and coherence otherwise lacking. More commonly found on remix duties or alongside heavyweight peer Sam Feldt throughout 2015, ‘Feels Like Home’ sees the duo take centre stage this month on Daily Deep imprint with a brand new vocal cut from the Amsterdam prospects.

Once you get past some of the more subtle tropical hallmarks of the track, the Son Mieux-assisted single is testament to accessible house music done right and more importantly, where good songwriting can empower it. Heavy set leads and pitched-up vocal samples lead its apex alongside a tempting vocal hook, giving this enough validation on club floors to keep the home crowd at bay.
