Jack Ü and Justin Bieber’s ‘Where Are Ü Now’ nominated for ‘Collaboration of the Year’ at 2015 AMAs
The unlikely partnership of Jack Ü and Justin Bieber has steadily proven to be successful over the course of 2015. Since going platinum this summer, “Where Are Ü Now” has won numerous awards and nominations – including “Best Visual Effects” at the MTV Video Music Awards – and spawned several further collaborations between Bieber and Skrillex.
The single is now in the running for it’s newest accolade, having received a nomination for “Collaboration of the Year” at the American Music Awards. The AMA poll sets “Where Are Ü Now” against collaborations between Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, and Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney.
While opinions on Jack Ü’s mainstream foray are split among Skrillex and Diplo’s fan bases, the presence that their collaboration with Bieber has afforded electronic music on the national level is inarguable.
