Jack Ü x Ember Island – Where Are Ü Now (LIONE Remix)
Young Los Angeles artist LIONE adds a summery twist to what was already a languid cover of “Where Are Ü Now” by Swedish electro trio Ember Island. The group’s take on Jack Ü and Diplo’s chart topper takes an ambling glide through soft vocal choruses and soprano notes, all while taking a slower approach in reworking the festival anthem.
LIONE’s twist, on the other hand, offers a quicker tempo and easy listening vibes – adding a positive lift to the cover. In allowing the delicate indie pop vocals to lead the way, LIONE builds the tune with a progression of light piano synths and kicks that make way for explosive rolling key scales and percussion.
